Summer is almost here, ya’ll! Whether you are local or simply driving through, there is an activity for everyone.

Here are 40 activities to do with kids in Waco:

 

  1. Dr. Pepper Museum

    Did you know that the Dr. Pepper Museum has a happy hour? Large fountain drinks are 50% off Monday through Saturday from 11-1 and Sunday from 12-1. You don’t have to pay admission to visit the soda fountain or gift shop.

  2. Disney On Ice


    June 1-4 at the Extraco Events Center. Your little princess will love this show.

  3. Waco Mammoth National Museum

    Always a fun time at the Mammoth Museum. Add this one to your list.

  4. Playdate in Poage Park

    Poage Park recently had a facelift and it’s so much fun! Shade trees and plenty of spots to have a picnic lunch.

  5. Cameron Park Zoo

    You can never go wrong with the zoo!

  6. Hey Sugar

    Candy colored heaven. It’s no surprise why kids love this local candy store.

  7. Summer Movie Series at the Silos


    Magnolia, First Friday, Campus Town, and the Hippodrome are teaming up to put on another free family movie night at the Silos! Come and enjoy The (original) Parent Trap, food trucks, and after hours shopping until 8:30 p.m. oThursday, June 1st!  Movie begins at Sunset. They are also giving away 250 FREE cupcakes to our local guests and a redeemable coupon for locals who do not get a cupcake that night! Don’t forget a blanket to sit on, but please note that lawn chairs, alcohol and smoking will not be permitted on the grounds of the Silos.

  8. Splash Pads & Swimming Holes

  9. Cheddar Box Wednesday’s

    Did you know that Cheddar Box offers $5 sandwiches to locals on Wednesday? It’s the perfect day to beat the crowds and take advantage of the beautiful Magnolia grounds.  
       
                 

  10. Cotton Belt Trail

    Load up your bikes and take a 2.5 mile ride on Cotton Belt Trail. Enjoy the scenery before it gets too hot.

  11. Home Depot

    Home Depot has a free kids workshop on the 1st Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. AND throughout the month, they hold workshops for adults too.

    An indoor play area with open play times, classes, and where you can host a party or play date!
