Featured Recipe: Texas Caviar

Now that we’re doing all things summer, I thought I’d pull out one of my favorite recipes from the archives. I somehow seem to forget about it until I make it…and then ask myself, “Why don’t you make this more often?”

Texas Caviar.

It’s perfect for BBQs, laying by the pool, or just about any kind of party. And the beauty of this recipe is that you can make it totally customizable. I’m not a fan of black-eyed peas, so I use tiny field peas instead. Don’t like cilantro? Leave it out. Or if you’re a little bit extra, like me, you can make your own Italian dressing for it; follow this recipe or feel free to whip up something unique! There is no judgment here. You do you. And be sure to share in the comments your twist on the classic.

I hope Texas Caviar becomes one of your favorites, too!
