I miss parties. And gatherings. And attending parties and gatherings.
I’m hopeful this year will bring the return of parties, gatherings, and the opportunity to give the perfect hostess gifts. Waco has many incredible shops where you can find the ideas that are not only creative and thoughtful, but affordable. Here are some of my local picks:
Gather
If you’re familiar with Black Oak, then Gather is considered their retail store. As soon as you walk in, you can’t help but feel inspired in this inviting space. There are so many lovely, curated items to put together a perfectly unique hostess gift. Handmade pottery, candles, inspiring cookbooks, beautiful glassware, and more. Gather is also the only place where Black Oak’s signature dishware is sold!
Sironia
This is one of my favorite places in Waco where I can find just about anything for myself or others! With such an extensive selection of gift items to choose from, be sure to allow plenty of time to browse the many small, local boutiques housed within Sironia. I also recommend grabbing lunch at their cute, uptown cafe. They have some of the most delicious food and desserts in town!
Wine Shoppe Waco
For the hostess that appreciates a fine bottle of wine, look no further than Wine Shoppe Waco. With hand-picked wines sourced from small, family-owned growers, this is a gift that will definitely make an impact. Wine Shoppe Waco even offers a wine CSA: three, specially selected wines, complete with notes on what makes the wine so special, who made them, and a recipe to pair with each wine, every month. Talk about an unforgettable hostess gift!
Splendid Oaks Chocolates
Some of the most beautiful, handmade, and delicious chocolate works of art can be found at Splendid Oaks Chocolates. They may look too pretty to eat, but these chocolates are a gift that needs to be enjoyed. And Splendid Oaks will give you 15% off when you bring in your empty chocolate box, so that’s incentive enough to visit them often!
Bloom Waco

You can’t help but feel happier when you walk into Bloom Waco. Their shop is filled with gorgeous, seasonal blooms from local growers in Central Texas. You can put together your own arrangement or take advantage of their expertise and have them create a stunning piece. Flowers from Bloom Waco are sure to bring beauty and joy to your host!
