As moms, we know what it takes to get put together AND leave the house on time. Without stains on your outfit from our kids. It’s hard work y’all!
Whether it took threats, bribes, spouses, or sitters, over 30 of us came together for our team photo shoot with Rachel Whyte.
The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we all gathered in the perfect “golden hour”. In the short time span of thirty minutes, she took 30 + head shots and numerous team photos. All eyes were open and we were all smiling! That is a huge feat and Rachel remained calm and collected and worked her magic. Did I mention that she is also a mom of two with another one on the way? Rachel has a huge heart and a true talent and calling in photography. It should be no surprise that she was not phased by our large group. Rachel has photographed over 90 weddings! Oh, and you might have noticed Rachel’s work on a little network called HGTV. We are not sure how she makes it all look so easy, but she does indeed.
I am a wedding and portrait photographer based in Waco, TX, who has sometimes taken photos of houses for this neat show called Fixer Upper. Years ago, I never thought “wedding and home photographer” would be my job description, but I’m definitely not complaining.
I love weddings. I love everything about them. I’ve been photographing them for 4 years now, and more than 90 weddings in, I’m still passionate about it. There is something so special about being a part of a couple’s wedding day and the process leading up to it, and witnessing them enter into a covenant together. It’s something that I hope to never take for granted.
I also love families. I’ve recently started photographing families a lot more often and I really love it.
I consider myself a natural light photographer who uses a documentary style approach, while still taking the time to create beautiful, artisitic images. My absolute favorite moments to photograph are ones filled with joy and laughter, and it turns out weddings have quite a bit of both of those things.
