Meet Camille Wilder

Hello! My name is Camille Wilder and I am brand new to Waco! I’ve lived in Fort Worth the past 20 years, but grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., and earned a B.S. in Mass Media Communications with an emphasis in broadcast journalism. My plan was to be a news anchor, but God had other plans! 🙂

After I graduated from ORU, I accepted an editorial position with a Christian, non-profit organization in Texas and moved to Fort Worth in 1997. Several years later I met my wonderful husband, Chris (a native Texan). When we married in 2003, I became a bonus mom to our son, Addison (28), and daughter, Alexandra (27). In 2011, God blessed us with our son, Harrison (6).

My husband accepted a position at Tarleton State University’s campus at MCC, which is what brought us to Waco. There has been quite a bit of change in my life within the last couple of months between moving to a new city and transitioning from working mom to stay at home/homeschool mom, but I’m thrilled about our new adventure. I’m also new to blogging, but very excited about being part of the Waco Moms Blog team, sharing and connecting with other moms, and falling in love with this unique and special place known as Waco!
