Meet Katy Smith

Hey there Waco moms!  I’m Katy Smith and I am thrilled to be a part of the Waco Moms Blog community.

I was born and raised in Temple, TX and lived in the same house until I went off to college.  I am a third generation Baylor Bear and obtained my degree in Speech Communication.  My Aggie husband Jarrod and I were high school sweethearts and have now been married for almost 14 years.    We moved a grand total of eight times during our first decade of marriage chasing his crazy fun high school football coaching career!  Just when I finally got the hang of being a coach’s wife he hung up the whistle!  It was quite the ride but it is certainly nice to be settled back in central Texas and to be able to put down some roots!  Jarrod now serves the community as a financial advisor with Edward Jones.  We love the Lord and are actively involved in our church.  We especially enjoy teaching the two year old Sunday School class!

We have three super fun kiddos, Emma (10), Owen (7) and Hudson (2).  All three are in different seasons of childhood which means that we live in a constant state of “joyful chaos”!  There is rarely ever a free night or dull moment in our household but that’s the way we always dreamed it would be!  Feel free to follow the many adventures of our “happily ever after” at www.smithtx.blogspot.com.

I’m a stay at home mom and also work part time as a remote call analyst.  I’m a thirty-something year old night owl, sweet tooth, flag football mama and queen procrastinator.  Some of my favorites include pedicures, hot pink roses, caramel frappuccinos and cute shoes.  When I’m not in the minivan chauffeuring kids to and from a wide array of sports and activities I enjoy family game night, crafting and party planning!  I enjoy connecting with fellow mama friends and hope to offer some encouragement along the way!

“Motherhood is messy.  And challenging.  And crazy.  And sleepless.  And giving.  And still unbelievably beautiful.” -Rachel Martin
