Paige Benzing

Hello, fellow Waco mothers! My name is Paige, and I was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I came to Waco to major in chemistry at Baylor University. During our freshman year, I met Andrew, a handsome guy with an incredible singing voice, from Pellston, Michigan. Despite the geographic differences in our upbringing, we discovered similarity after similarity and quickly fell in love. We took a year off of college to begin our family; October 2016 saw our beautiful wedding ceremony, and our twin sons were welcomed to the world in December 2016.

Hayden and Ashton were both born 6 lbs 10 oz: VERY healthy twins! My husband and I have loved learning how to be parents of two at once, despite all the challenges and doubts. We were truly blessed with two happy babies who started sleeping through the night within months. To answer a few questions upfront: yes, they are twins, but no, they are not identical. We tell them apart by a few personality quirks (Ashton loves pacifiers and is tolerant of pain, Hayden sucks his thumb and is mischievously curious) and physical differences (Hayden has a wider head and Ashton has a pink birthmark under his right eye).

We recently returned to Texas to reside in Hewitt, so we are in the midst of finding a church home and getting plugged in. Our intention is to finish both our bachelors’ degrees at Baylor, but for now I am staying at home with the twins and now writing for Waco Mom’s Blog while they nap!

My goal is to share my unique perspective of being a young mother of multiples, and write about what it’s like to balance being a college student AND a mom in Waco. I look forward to making “mom friends” who love Waco as much as I do. Thank you for allowing me to share my journey of motherhood with y’all, I can’t wait!
