When you have guests for the holidays, or other unexpected events, you can usually count on the one planned group dinner.  But what about the other meals?  What do you serve a group of out-of-town guests when staying with you in Waco?  It can be tough to get a crowd out of the house, and to get a table for party 0f 8+.

Here’s a list of a few local take-out options for a taste of Texas, to be enjoyed at home.

If you have other favorites, share them in the comments!

Torchy’s Tacos

801 S. 5th St., Waco

From migas to Hillbilly Queso and Airstream Salad, Torchy’s is sure to please the crowd with more than fancy tacos.  Hours are 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. on the weekdays, opening at 8 a.m. on the weekends, so you can order breakfast tacos, or a late dinner.  Give them extra time for a large group (I’d advise 24 hours).

Rusty Star BBQ

Traditional barbeque options available by the pound, and family packs include sides.  The menu is available in a picture on their facebook page, and they are really fast in preparing orders.  Closed Sundays and Mondays.
