The warm temperatures are here to stay, Waco! However, you can’t just stay inside your house all day because both you and your kiddos will go crazy. Here are a few locations for hours of air conditioned play time!
The Mayborn Museum provides a fun and engaging environment for kids of all ages. The Museum is filled with discovery rooms, which allow kids to participate in hands-on activities, as well as science exhibits, cultural exhibits, and the current educational exhibit, The Wizard of Oz (now through May 7th). Located within the Baylor campus on South University Parks, the Mayborn is open Monday through Sunday, with varying hours. Several memberships are available for individuals, families, and even grandparents. General admission is Adults $8, Children (ages 2-12yrs) $6, and Seniors (65+) $7. The gift shop is filled with both educational toys and of course snacks. Be sure to pack some snacks, drinks, or even lunch for you and your kids as food and drink are allowed in most areas of the Museum.
Urban Air Trampoline Park is filled with activities for both adults and kids! The trampoline park contains trampolines, tubes, obstacle courses, dodgeball, and an adventure park. It is open 7 days a week to all ages withy varying open jump hours. Jumperoo is a time specifically for toddlers to jump and play on Fridays from 10am until noon with cost $8 per child and adults are free! Urban Air offers different pricing options depending on jump time, access to certain parts of the park, and special event pricing such as family night, jumperoo (toddler time), and dodgeball. Socks purchased at Urban Air with grips on the bottoms are preferred, but bare feet are also allowed. The option to purchase food and drink is available in the cafe. Urban Air Trampoline Park is located just north of Highway 6 on the west side of Waco Drive.
Jump-n-Place is a perfect atmosphere for kids to get some of their crazy energy out! It is filled with giant inflatables of all sizes from typical bounce houses, mazes, inflatable climbing walls, basketball hoops and more! Jump-n-Place has open jump available for children of all ages to come play. Cost is $8 per child, and adults are always free. Hours vary depending on the day. Toddlers (32 inches or less) have their own designated area filled with balls, a mini inflatable, and lots of climbing toys. Picnic style tables are outside of the jumping area so be sure to bring drinks and snacks or even lunch for you and your kids. Jump-n-Place is located in Londonderry Plaza off of Highway 84. This is a great location for moms to come with other moms and enjoy a playdate.
