Instacart Waco Moms Blog

I have a new love in my life and I want to shout it from the rooftops.

Welcome to Waco, Instacart!

We lived in Austin before relocating to Waco and Instacart had just launched in our area. I had a newborn, a toddler. and grocery shopping quickly became all about survival. How fast could I make it through the aisles? is there a long check out line?  It wasn’t always a bad experience, but I always had anxiety walking through those sliding doors. I tried out Instacart a few times before moving to Waco and loved it.

When we moved to Waco, we left that convenience behind. Waco finally got curbside pickup and you could hear all of the moms scream with pure joy. We could shop online in the comfort of our home or office and pick up our grocery order the next day. While this is an amazing option to have, sometimes my plan goes out the window. A kid throws a tantrum over making them wear pants, you are running late to school and work, or a little one is sick and you simply cannot leave the house. Then it’s too late to place my order. I need those items on the same day and cannot wait another 24 hours for curbside pick up.

Insert Instacart. My new BFF.

Ya’ll, This grocery delivery service is life changing. Instacart is a grocery delivery service that delivers in as little as an hour! They connect you with Personal Shoppers in your area who pick up and deliver your groceries from your favorite local stores. Instacart is not a retailer or a seller of groceries or other merchandise. While it might sound like an added expense, it truly SAVES me money and time. If you do not have the express membership, delivery charges can range from $5.99 and up. Well, the Troll sticker book at HEB is $5.99. You know, the one sitting all nice and shiny at the check out line at toddler eye level. Well played, HEB, well played.

Since I have the Express membership, I placed an order last week and it was at my door in less than 2 hours. I was at home with my youngest who had strep and all she wanted to do was watch Moana in bed.  I still had to feed my four year old and my husband was working late. There was zero chance of a grocery store run. I literally placed the order via the app on my phone. I didn’t have to leave my sick baby, my family would be fed, and dinner was delivered to my doorstep. That is what I call a Mom win!

We are not fortunate enough to have family in Waco so I genuinely mean it when I say Instacart is my life saver. My sweet husband even likes Instacart because he isn’t getting a call or text from me saying “Can you please pick up milk on your way home?”. As moms, it often times hard to delegate or ask for help. This service has been such a time saver for our family.

Thank you Instacart for saving my sanity!
