“…all I want for Christmas is…”
This year we are offering a little help to those who shop for us with our Waco Moms Holiday Wish List.
Mom’s are typically the go-to shopper for all things Christmas, and it’s quite the job, if you ask me! Every year since obtaining the title of “mom” and “dad”, my husband whispers to me, “Now, what did we get them?” HA! Can any of you moms relate? But wait a minute, if we are the ones who are buying for everyone else, who is shopping for us? I think it’s common for moms to say, “Oh, I don’t need anything!” But deep down, we’re longing for something special, something we’ve always wanted, or something new and trending. Even the simplest gifts are the best. So take notes husbands (or any other fellow reader who is seeking ideas)…as a mom, I’m advocating for all the moms who secretly want something special and offering a list of items that we secretly (or not so subtly) have on our wish list.
Waco Moms Holiday Wish List
- Mahjong Set: Mahjong is the new Bunco! There is quite the variety of mahjong sets out there to choose from but you likely won’t go wrong. This is such a fun idea as a gift because then it allows her to have fun with her friends for a well deserved girls night!
- Pickleball Paddle Set: anything Pickleball will be another hot item! People are raving about this newly discovered sport. Let Google can be your guide and get her started on a new hobby!
- Ember Temperature Control Smart Mug: who loves coffee or tea?! If she’s the type of mom to reheat her coffee multiple times a day, then this gift will be a hit! This plate will keep the drink warm for up to 80 minutes. How fancy!
- A gift certificate to a local home organizing company. What a TRUE GIFT to have someone help you sort through items/spaces in your home to alleviate the junk of what seems like a lifetime (that I personally love to blame my kids for, ha!) Our local company, The Art of Neat here in Waco uses magic in your home – I swear by them.
- A gift certificate to get a massage. From the moment of conception, our bodies sure do take a beating! And it doesn’t stop when kids climb on you constantly, ask to be held or given piggyback rides, or chasing them in every possible direction. A gold star to the husband who gives his wife the gift of relaxation in quiet and in peace! While there are several places in Waco, my favorite is Dreamscape Wellness located inside WRS.
- Mani/Pedi’s are always a hit. I look down at my feet often thinking how great it would be to sit in a chair, minding my own business while the sweet lady at my feet makes my feet look like a queen. You won’t go wrong with this gift! Some of my favorite places have been Oasis Nails, Posh, Escape Nails, and Elegant Nails.
- A gift you won’t spend a dime on: ALONE TIME. One of my most cherished things is time to myself, especially when it’s unexpected. Grant your wife a few hours or even a day to herself! It’s needed from time to time.
- What woman doesn’t like jewelry? Another special gift is a necklace with your kid’s initials on it. My husband recently gifted this to me and it’s something I’ll adore forever! Le Danni here in town helped him design it and it’s just beautiful! Looking for something less expensive but meaningful? Check out Etsy. There are endless possibilities.
- My last idea may seem impersonal to many, but for me it’s sometimes a dream to receive a gift card from my favorite place to shop. Then I get to enjoy picking out something I know I’ll love and use/wear! Don’t be afraid to get specific and ask what her top spots are in Waco. I personally love, The Carpenter’s Daughter, The Collective, and Simply Irresistible.
