Friday, October 5

  • First Friday| This is a designated Friday of every month where businesses downtown Waco offer specials, extended hours, occasional live music and more. For info on participating businesses and specials, visit the FirstFridayWaco page.
  • Waco Cultural Arts Fest 2018 at Indian Spring Park(recurring event)| Friday-Saturday-Sunday (specific programming times vary)| This event is FREE! Come see art, dance, music, science, word and film in the park! There are artistic opportunities for all ages! 
  • Godspell at Baylor University Theatre| Hooper Schaefer Fine Arts Center 60 Baylor Ave| 7:30pm (Oct 7 matinee)| Tickets are $20| This is a 1970s musical theater adaptation of several parables taken from the Gospel’s of Matthew, Luke and John. 

Saturday, October 6

  • Waco Farmers Market| 9a-1pm| 500 Washington Ave (across from the courthouse)
  • Dogtoberfest at the Waco Hippodrome| 724 Austin Ave| Noon-5p| Enjoy brats and beer while having fun with friends and your pup. Boutiques and games will be available. All breeds welcomed that are on leashes. Tickets are $25 and proceeds benefit the Animal Birth Control Clinic. Details at wacohippodrometheatre.com/dogtoberfest-2018

Sunday, October 7

  • OUT on the Brazos by Waco Pride Network| Brazos Park East| 11a-4p| Celebrate the LGBTQ community! There will be entertainment, speakers, food, and kid friendly activities.   • 19th Annual Food And Wine Festival| Indian Spring Park 101 University Parks Drive| 6-10p| Come enjoy a night with food, wine and beer, live music and a silent auction.| Tickets are $60 in advance and $70 at the door. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Central Texas
