Sarah Nelson
As a mom of three, I know the importance of community. When I was a new mom, I joined a moms’ group and quickly realized those friendships were a lifeline. We are not meant to mom alone, and it is vital to our well-being to have support as we navigate motherhood.
I began writing for Waco Moms in 2017 and have watched this community grow to become the area’s number one digital resource for parents. I know as a busy mom it is challenging to find the best resources for our families. My goal is to continue to make resources accessible, while making the day-in-the-life of a mom a little easier.
Our Misson is to Provide Day-to-Day Resources for Parents and to Bring Women Together in Community.
Bio
Sarah grew up in the Dallas area and moved to Waco to attend Baylor University where she met her husband, Mark, and graduated with a BBA in Marketing. Sarah and Mark started out in Waco, moved to Austin and Miami, and moved back to Waco where all three of their children were born. Sarah has a background in business, music, and ministry. Once her children were born she was a stay-at-home-mom and business owner where she was able to work from her home office. In 2021, after life’s twists and turns, Sarah released a book “A Perfect Storm: Devotions During a Crisis”. The devotional is about her personal story of how God walked her family through a life-threatening crisis with her youngest daughter. Sarah speaks to women and crisis groups on motherhood and educates on the subject of childhood strokes.
When Sarah began writing for Waco Moms, she never imagined her platform would grow as an author and speaker. She continues to hold on tight to the lessons learned, and works to continue to encourage women and families.
