If you are anything like me, you want your social media feeds to encourage and empower you to be a better parent, wife, leader, friend, etc. Often times we are scrolling while nursing a baby, waiting in the pediatricians lobby, or sitting in carpool pickup – it’s important we realize that the content we consume makes an impact on us! Rather than doomscrolling and letting our information overload be negative, we should strive to use our social media time wisely and seek out sites that are a little ahead of the game with parenting!
I am always looking for ways to become a better parent and I have found that Instagram offers a wealth of content creators that can help me do just that. Here are a few of my favorite accounts that have impacted my motherhood journey for the better …
Parent Cue
This faith based resource shares easy tips and tricks for parenting on their account, and their website offers many different resources and more thorough parenting articles. Parent Cue also has an app that I personally love; it helps parents navigate their children’s growth phases.
Defend Young Minds
This account has taught me the importance as a parent to defend young minds within the parameters of technology. It has many actions you can put in place to protect your child’s mind and eyes and set them up for success with technology as they grow. This resource has pushed me to be the better parent in this area!
The Mom Psychologist
Dr. Jazmine is here to remind you that your words and actions matter! Her account is full of real-world scripts for you to any scenario your kiddo might throw your way. Along with her free resources on Instagram, she also has parenting classes on YouTube and a podcast you can listen too.
Wholesome.Family.Roots
This account reminds mamas of littles that parenting is not easy – which is always something I am grateful for – especially when so many people on social media make it look easy. I am encouraged by this account and as a bonus, it shares wholesome meals that my whole family loves!
Birds&Bees
These two women have amazing advice, wisdom and can help you navigate the “talk” with your child. They have guides, online courses and podcast to help you be more confident when it comes to talking about all the uncomfortable topics with you kids.
These sites are just a few of my favorites but there are many more with great insight! Here are a few more you can follow to help you be a better parent in your motherhood journey: @zerototthree, @grownandflown, @solidstarts, @minimalistmomspodcast, @hellomornings.
