Waco Moms Blog Isn’t Done Growing | Meet Alexa Wible
Hey everyone! My name is Alexa and I’m so pumped to be a part of the Waco Moms Blog community! It is truly an honor.
I have lived in Waco for 11 years, and moved here from Mansfield, Texas (bonus points if you’ve ever heard of Mansfield!) to attend Baylor University in 2007. Basically, Waco won my heart immediately and I never left. I have been married to my incredible husband for almost 7 years, and we have a son, Davis, who is 6 months old. Even though I was slightly apprehensive about this whole mom thing before we had a baby, I am so happy to be a mom to our happy, chunky baby boy. Motherhood has been surprisingly joyful, fulfilling, and refining (and tiring) so far.
I have an accounting degree from Baylor and worked in accounting for 3 years before quitting to pursue a career in fitness… even though I still love a good budget and spreadsheet. I have worked in the fitness industry for 5 years, starting out as a group fitness instructor and writing a healthy food blog. Currently, I work as a personal trainer, create online coaching programs, and specialize in pregnancy & postpartum training.
Juggling part-time work in the gym, my own online business, and being a full-time mom has not been easy, but I love everything I’m doing and know I’m living out my calling. My mission in life is to help women get out of the restriction and dieting mindset, overcome insecurity, and learn to create a healthy lifestyle they love! I am passionate about helping postpartum women return to exercise in a smart way that sets them up for success without symptoms long-term. I also desire for us as women to change the mindset of getting our “pre-baby body” back, and instead learn to embrace & accept the new versions of our bodies as moms.
Other than that, I love Jesus, my family, and good coffee. I am an Enneagram 6 wing 5 and an ISFJ, for those of you who are personality test junkies like me! I am half Puerto Rican, and the youngest of 3 kids. I know how to play the French horn, and prefer driving stick shift to automatic any day. My favorite genre of music is anything from the 80’s, and I am kind of obsessed with our dog Kipling, who is a Great Dane/Boxer mix… even though I’m a cat person through and through. I’m part of the rare breed of women who really hates shopping and would rather sit at a coffee shop and read, learn, and write. My secret dream is to host my own podcast, because I love listening to podcasts any spare moment of the day!
