If you ask me, a girls night can be better than therapy. Anytime I start to feel the mental toll motherhood takes on me, I know it’s time to make plans with some of my favorite women.

Waco has so many great spots for a girls night or even a girls day out.
Here are three different ideas for a fun time with your favorite gals!

DIY Waco Bar Crawl

This is an easy way to enjoy all our town has to offer, if you like a yummy cocktail. Grab your girlfriends and try out a few speciality drinks at some Waco hotspots. Here are a few locations I suggest stopping by on your self paced bar crawl.

Barnett’s offers hand-crafted, fresh cocktails and a knowledgeable staff. A must try!
Dichotomy may be known for their coffee but their bar and cocktails are just as delicious!
Stay Classy combines good drinks and entertainment. They often do themed trivia nights!

Coffee + Shopping

Need to get together with the girls during the day? This is the perfect outing! Some friends and I recently went to Bitty & Beau’s coffee shop and it was a spectacular experience. The environment is spot on and the coffee is the real deal. The best part is that it is within walking distance of Spice Village. If you’ve been there, you know it’s the ultimate shopping spot in Waco. It’s easy to get lost in all they have to offer – gifts for others, treats for yourself and more – you can’t go wrong.

Arts + Crafts

Do you and your friends love a good DIY project? Waco is also home to several great spots  where you can spend some time creating! Many of them are BYOB and you get to go home with your masterpiece to commemorate your hangout which is sure to be filled with laughs.  A few local favorites are:

Board and Brush
Painting with a Twist
Hammer and Stain

This is a small drop in the bucket of options you have for a girls night here in town. Waco is full of unique, special spots to try. If you aren’t in a season where getting out of the house is an option, feel free to take some of these ideas and implement them for an at home girls night. Order in delicious food, make a signature cocktail and challenge your friends to some trivia and do a little DIY-ing!

Just know we all need these moments sometimes. Motherhood is hard, we all need a tribe, and sometimes we need a moment to reset. Allow yourself that moment – guilt-free – we are better moms when take care of ourselves both physically and mentally.

Cheers ladies! I hope these ideas give you some inspiration. Take this as a sign to get a girls night on the calendar. Enjoy yourself and go celebrate your friendships!
