Nourishing, perfect texture, delicious, gut health happy MARSHMALLOWS!
Hey mama! If you’re looking for a clean, fun treat that actually supports gut health, these homemade marshmallows are a win. Made with simple, real ingredients—no corn syrup, no refined sugar—just pure, healing goodness thanks to the power of quality grass fed gelatin.
Great for littles (and grown-ups too), especially after tummy bugs or just as a sweet moment in your day. We use them for our s’mores or we cut into small squares to make “marshmallow cereal”!
The deets:
-
3 tbsp grass fed gelatin
- ¾ cup maple syrup or raw honey
- 1 cup water (divided)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Parchment paper (for lining the pan)
Optional boost: Add marshmallow root for extra gut-soothing benefit or 1 scoop collagen powder.
How to:
- Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper.
- Bloom gelatin in ½ cup water (let it sit while you prep the syrup).
- In a small saucepan, bring maple syrup/honey + ½ cup water to 235°F (about 10 minutes).
- Start mixer on low and break up the bloomed gelatin.
- Slowly pour hot syrup into the gelatin while mixing. Add vanilla and mix on low to combine, then whip on high for 10 minutes until fluffy.
- Quickly spread into the lined pan and let set for 30 minutes (it firms up fast!). I usually put in the fridge.
- Cut into squares and enjoy!
Storage: Keep in the fridge for up to 3 weeks—if they last that long, hope your family enjoys them as much as our family does! Let us know in the comments below if you try this recipe or any of the other featured recipes on our website!
