I love throwing parties in general, but with these constantly unprecedented times, it would be easy to brush over an opportunity to celebrate. Events in time like birthdays, first days of school, graduations, etc. are not not just to celebrate your little, but the hard work you and your family have put into their little life so far!
There – now that I’ve hopefully justified all of the slightly extravagant party ideas I’ve found around Waco, I can tell you about some fun stuff! Here are some shots of Sienna’s first, small, family birthday party last month. I fixated a lot about how her birthday would be so close to Christmas when I was pregnant with her, but so far it has been so good!
The local vendors I used for Sienna’s party were:
Alpha+Lit Waco – AMAZING service, with rescheduling after rescheduling, they were so kind and the perfect special moment for our small party! They are officially a tradition for all of my parties!
Alice Allen Events for the Balloon Garland – I would for sure trust these girls to host my entire party if I was too busy to handle the details. This time I only needed them for the balloon garland and they delivered it right to my house! I have also considered renting their disco balls and other cute party props. Love them!
Wonder Play – another amazing Mama owned, local company (all of them so far are!). She was also amazing to work with an basically did it all! We cleared out my front living room and she came and set up all the soft climbing and riding toys, on a cute foam flooring, with a smaller indoor moon bounce, all with a plastic fence to keep the munchkins contained! It was perfect for my girls and their cousins up to age 6!
Simply Delicious Smash and Guest Cakes – They always do my cakes and they are literally so simple and so delicious! Not artificially sweet in the least, perfectly fresh cake, and the buttercream is my favorite texture! We did a cake for guests and then a small, coordinating one for Sienna to smash and eat in photos. She agreed it was delicious!
Sugars by Leah Cookies – Leah has done every party I have been a part of since before I was married! Her cookies are SO stunning, great at encompassing a theme, great for display or for favors, and actually soft unlike some of these decorative cookies. So yummy! This time she did a winter one-derland theme, but she’s done it all!
Gathering Board Waco – Not photographed, but their boards are always PERFECT. Hostess gifts, Friday night dinner, any sized group of guests? She’s got a perfect, beautiful, charcuterie snack for you!
Amazon Details – I had quite a bit of time at home to plan this one, but I loved my last minute, amazon party details! Pendent garland? Snow flake crowns? Cake topper or even face tattoos? The funnest little touches at your door in you final 2 days!
Working with great people makes planning a party even more enjoyable! Other ideas I’ve had include a moonbounce, movie theatre room rental, or maybe one day a petting zoo!
Have fun celebrating happy moments in time. We don’t get enough. Also stay tuned – Stella turns 3 on Memorial Day this year and we have decided to make the theme “Let Threedom Ring!”
