The beginning of the end is upon our little family! My first baby is starting her last year of preschool. While I understand full time childcare isn’t an option that everyone chooses, it is the reality for a lot of parents. It is in our household and we are so fortunate to have known early to choose Primrose.

At Primrose, children learn and practice concepts in language literacy, science, technology, engineering, creative arts and math (STEAM); social studies, music, physical development and health; and compassion, kindness and life skills continuously throughout the day as part of our exclusive, integrated Balanced Learning approach.

Thanks to the Primrose curriculum, our children are learning reading and writing readiness that is so apparent in these little tiny minds when they are at home with our family. They’re being introduced to natural scientists, engineering, and how to really observe their environments around them and reference these topics with our family.

These early experiences with mathematics help the children who attend Primrose develop confidence and support their flexibility, inventiveness and persistence in solving problems. They use music and dancing to reinforce positive behavior and polite conversation through songs. Primrose believes that active children are more likely to become active adults and my family is entirely in agreement.

While my girls having the best education is very important, it is the focus on character development and life skills that I have found to be the most impressive aspect of Primrose. Research shows that social-emotional intelligence is one of the best predictors of future success in school and in life. We believe who children become is as important as what they know. Students at Primrose learn and practice important skills and traits such as compassion, sharing and generosity as adults encourage and serve as role models for these traits.

This brings me to the staff. Many of the teachers we interact with have known my family for years now and smile with genuine joy when they see us passing through the halls. The teachers and staff are noticeably carefully selected. Their highest priority is the health and safety of children entrusted to their care. Every school is trained on their Safe School Plan, and communication on your child’s day is updated in real time via a high functioning app. These systems are continuously updated and designed to keep us as parents well informed in the event of an emergency or day to day occurrences.

I know our sweet girl will spend her last year in pre-school gathering as much preparation for kindergarten as possible. At Primrose School of Waco at Woodway, my family is safe, well loved, engaged and reinforced with the same goals we strive for within our own home.

Primrose is currently offering an incredible Gift of Education with a $500 Tuition Credit when you Pre-Register by August 31st, 2022 *Credit will be applied after first 90 days of attendance*

Katie is a 9th generation Texan who grew up in a military family, saw and enjoyed the world, but got back to Texas as quickly as she could! She fell in love with her husband's hometown (the first true hometown she's ever had) and hopes to be in Waco for many more generations to come. Katie met the love of her life, Brody Snapp, while a student at a Texas A&M football tailgate and after he patiently waited for her to live her urban, corporate America dreams, they tied the knot in 2016 and have been in the Waco area ever since. In 2018, they welcomed their first baby girl, Stella, and 19 months later, welcomed sweet Sienna. In Waco, they are surrounded by family and life long friends and love the family friendly and peaceful environment this community provides. Katie began her professional career quickly realizing that a cubical at the sought after Goldman Sachs was not for her - but for the past 6 years has had a thriving real estate business as a top producing agent with Camille Johnson, Realtors. Prior to that her background included being an award winning marketing and sales representative in a billion dollar Dallas high-rise industry, a regional marketing and sales manager for luxury student housing all along the west coast, and a year of working as a part of Joanna and Chip Gaines' marketing team as they re-launched the Magnolia Realty branch of their company. Katie is very excited to get work alongside her best friend and most respected fellow Realtor, Catia Sykora as they take Waco Moms to the next level. She has a true passion for supporting and showcasing her community and most importantly, connecting moms!
