Art Center of Waco | Paint the World: Spring Break Art Camp

Monday, March 9th – Friday, March 13 | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM

Paint the World Art Camp celebrates Women’s History Month through art, music, and creative expression. The week is designed to offer developmentally appropriate studio experiences that build confidence, curiosity, and creative independence. Projects will honor women’s contributions across art history, music, fiber arts, and visual culture.

Cameron Park Zoo Camp

Cameron Park Zoo is offering a mini spring break camp for children ages 6-9 years old. The dates are Tuesday, March 10 through Thursday, March 12, 9:00am-4:00pm. The program is titled Nature Investigators and embarks on an exciting adventure of discovery, exploration, and hands-on learning.

Skate Waco

Skate Waco is holding spring break camps for kids ages 5-14, Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 1pm.  Kids ages 9 and older can stay for the afternoon skating sessions until 5pm for no extra charge. The campers will learn 20 different skating skills, skate games, and classes will be available in beginner, intermediate, and advanced skill levels.

YMCA

The Waco YMCA offers outdoor, indoor and specialty spring break camps for half-day and full-day options. The kids will enjoy games, activities, crafts, and various locations are offered.

Mayborn Museum

The Mayborn Museum offers Monday Mini Story Time at 10:30 am. on March 2nd.   Stories are combined with a craft and geared towards children ages 5 and under. Enjoy the museums free style play environment that engages children with various rooms and manipulatives.

McLennan Community College Fun Time Tennis and Pickleball Camp

Hosted by Waco Regional Tennis and Fitness, this is a four-day tennis and pickleball camp just for kids! Whether your child is new to either sport or already playing, this event is packed with fun, learning, and plenty of tennis and pickleball action. Players will learn the fundamentals of the game, improve their skills, and enjoy team-building games and friendly competition-all in a positive, active environment. Perfect for beginners and young players looking to grow their game while having a blast! Fees include Lunch and Gatorade. For ages 8-16.

Waco STEAM Center: Makers Labs | Workshops | FREE Play

Looking for something creative to do during Spring Break? Join us for free daily Makers Labs, where students and families can drop in and explore hands-on art and design activities.  Each day features a new creative challenge, from watercolor resist painting and paper sculptures to yarn art, clay creations, and cardboard engineering.  Activities are free and open to the public, with drop-in times available throughout the day.

Texas Ranger Museum

The Ranger Museum is hosting a Spring Break Roundup on Saturday, March 14.  The roundup activities will take place between 10:00 am – 3:00 p.m., and a Texas Ranger will speak at 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Other Waco activities include strolling along the Brazos, Waco Parks, Poage Park, and the newly updated Woodway Arboretum. The whole family may enjoy a round of Top Golf, a tour at the Dr. Pepper Museum, or an afternoon at the grounds at Magnolia.
